Operations Lead: Bookings & Revenue [Marketplace]
About Tagvenue
At Tagvenue, we’re building a SaaS-enabled marketplace that is redefining how people discover and book venues around the world. We’re a team of highly capable and deeply curious people who care about solving meaningful problems and influencing how the venue-hire market operates globally. As we scale, we’re building a next-generation revenue engine — powered by automation, system logic and data-driven decision making — to make our marketplace smarter, more accurate and more efficient with every interaction. If you’re energized by ownership, modern tooling, and making a measurable impact at scale, this role gives you the opportunity to shape how revenue flows through our platform and how our marketplace evolves.
About the Role
As the Operations Lead - Booking & Revenue [Marketplace], you will be part of the Operations team, reporting directly to the Head of Operations. Your role is focused on ensuring that our marketplace captures revenue accurately, efficiently and in line with our T&Cs — not selling or closing deals.
You’ll manage the systems, rules and workflows that detect bookings, confirm final spends, and record the correct commission. You’ll also oversee our two payment streams (online Stripe payments and invoice-based workflows) to ensure everything is tracked, processed and reported properly.
This is a hands-on operational role with a team leadership scope:
60% ensuring daily bookings and revenue-related operations run smoothly,
30% working on new projects, optimisations and hypothesis testing,
10% leading a small team and monitoring performance metrics.
Your mission is to strengthen our “monetisation engine” — the rules, processes and automations that power how our marketplace recognises, protects and reports bookings and therefore revenues.
What You’ll Do
Monetisation Engine & System Logic
Maintain and improve the rules, workflows and system logic used to detect bookings and capture revenue (LLM labels, n8n workflows, Back Office tool rules, etc.).
Develop processes that help identify hidden bookings, mismatches or leakage points in a clear and operational way.
Build automations and scalable workflows that improve accuracy and efficiency across the revenue-related operations lifecycle.
Commercial & Operational Ownership
Manage special agreements, pricing conditions and commission logic to ensure consistency and proper application.
Monitor and improve cost-per-process metrics (e.g., cost per booking capture, cost per final spend acquisition).
Use data to validate ideas and support new initiatives — proving concepts through clear, data-driven reasoning before rollout.
Data Analysis & Investigations
Analyse patterns, anomalies or gaps in booking and revenue data.
Investigate missed or incorrect bookings and translate findings into updated rules, safeguards or operational improvements.
Maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency and reporting within Marketplace Operations.
Team Leadership & Ownership
Take end-to-end ownership of the booking monetisation function while operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Lead and support a small team; track both input and output metrics, and ensure weekly/monthly performance targets are met.
Report regularly on team results in WBR/MBR/QBR or similar performance settings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Growth, Data and Ops to ensure monetisation rules and insights are effectively embedded across the platform.
Translate operational learnings into actionable improvements, automations or product updates.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in Booking and Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations, Marketplace Operations or similar analytical/commercial roles
1+ year of experience in leading a team or similar experience in coaching/supervising a team
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect operational actions to revenue impact
Investigative mindset — ability to spot anomalies, dive deep and design preventative logic
Data-driven, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with BI / analytical environments
Experience with automation tools (e.g., n8n) or enthusiasm to learn them quickly
Ability to manage projects end-to-end, and make data-driven decisions
Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally in English (C1+)
Experience in SaaS, marketplace, or platform businesses is a strong plus
