Finance Manager

We launched in mid-2015, and within a short period, we achieved a market leader position in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada and we’re expanding fast in the US.
We’re currently hiring a Finance Manager to join our Finance Team. In this role, you will lead operations and projects within the Finance & Managerial Accounting domain at Tagvenue. You will have a chance to enhance your finance expertise in foreign markets (UK, USA, Australia, Ireland, Canada, Singapore) and be responsible for all financial areas within the company. You will work closely with our CEO.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of 3 passionate finance professionals working in international markets
- Financial reporting- driving the process of month-end/year-end closing and preparing monthly & quarterly financial reports (P&L and cash flow statements), forecasting monthly, quarterly & annual results as well as working together with key participants to compile team budgets
- Present financial results and insights to the Board
- Supporting senior stakeholders in all business reviews
- Additional projects- e.g. commercial projects, monitoring internal controls and recommending cost-reducing solutions, supporting founders in managing the relationship with Investors, assisting founders with legal and contractual matters, researching taxation on new markets
- Generating reports & analysis to assist in decision making
- Ensuring compliance with financial processes, systems and policies in all jurisdictions
- Supporting both Polish and UK external accountants with payroll preparation
- Accounting - supervising reconciliation, managerial accounting
- Assisting external accountants with the preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT and annual reports
- Supervise & streamline operations in the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions
- Analyse financial data and provide sound financial support and insights to enable the executive team to make critical business decisions. Develop and track financial efficiency KPIs. Connect financial data with company operations to support better resource allocation and planning
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in a startup or small/mid-sized company)
- Experience in ownership of all financial & accounting processes in an organization
- Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, reporting and analysis, acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles
- Ability to drive process improvement bringing significant impact on cost levels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A deep sense of ownership for the broad range of responsibilities
- Strong interest in Finance, Investments or Managerial accounting area, proven by reading books, additional courses, certificates and other self-development initiatives
- Great attention to detail combined with creative thinking - you can proactively propose solutions to different kinds of problems
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Polish (C1/C2 level)
